When developers fix issues on a website or application they need to be able to replicate the same issue on their device, otherwise they’ll just tell you to turn it off and on again, but as there are hundreds of device screen sizes and as many, if not more, combinations of web browsers and operating systems, it’s not easy to catch all the problems.
First we’ll need some technical details about your device, and rather than searching for that information yourself, you can just copy-paste the text from this page and send it to your developer along with the description of the problem.
When describing the issue, adding a screenshot or a screen recording will help them a lot more (in most cases) to actually see the problem.
Here’s how to take screenshots on: Android, iPhone, MacOS, Windows.
For screen recordings there are a lot of tools out there, like Screencast-o-matic, Loom, and many others.
In our case, after we receive the message and are able to replicate the issue we can get back with a deadline, and depending on our workload and type of issue we are sometimes able to fix it on the spot.
